Standard Flooded Battery

1. SLI (Starting, Lighting, Ignition)
This is the typical Automotive battery commonly found in all vehicles. The battery delievers a quick burst of power to get the engine and key systems and utilities started. Once the engine is running the vechiles alternator regulates the power to the electical components of the vehicle. This is called a SLI (Starting, Lighting, Ignition) battery found in most of modern day vehicles. They are typically also Lead Acid Batteries

12-volt lead-acid batteries are made up of six cells. Within each cell, positive and negative plates are stacked in an alternating fashion, separated by a thin sheet of microporous plastic called a separator. The stacked plates are immersed in an electrolyte solution, or battery acid, which surrounds the separators and the plates, providiThese Lead Acid Battery are generally also called 12 Volt Batteries and are Fully Charged when they have 12.6 Volts or higher. Each 12 Volt Battery has 6 Cells and within each Cell, positive and Negative Lead Paste Plates are stacked alternately, separated by a thing microporous plastic sheet called a Separator. These plates are placed in Electorlyte solution so Suphuric acid and distilled water and when required chemical reaction, electricity flows in this path.ng a path for electricity to flow.

2. Deep Cycle Batteries (Marine & Recreation Vehicles Batteries)
Batteries that deliver sustained power for extended periods of time are called Deep Cycle Batteries. They can discharge and recharged repeatedly without damage, which an SLI battery cannot do. They are good for powering devices/ vehicles, that do not require a big surge in power to start large engines and can provide power even if the engine is not running. Most commonly such batteries are found in Golf Carts, RVs, ATVs, and in outboard Marine Engines.

Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) Technology

Absorptive glass fiber is used as the material for the separator, which has been immersed in the electrolyte (dilute sulfuric acid). It is a battery with the system in which the gas generated at the time of charging and discharging is recombined within the battery to be reduced into water. The design allows relief venting to release pressure from minor gassing during charging. The valves open and close automatically at low pressure thereby preventing air air from leaking into the battery. It has durability that has been improved by about 2.5 folds from those of the previous flooded type batteries.Electrolytes are held in mats of glass, rather than free-floating around the battery. This allows for higher number of engine start stop cycles.

AGM Batteries provide superior power to support modern day vehicles higher electrical demands of utilities and components as well start-stop functions of vehciles. AGM Batteries are extremely resilient to vibrations, completely sealed, no spill risk and completely maintainance free. They have much better and deeper discharge and recharge cycle, minimum gas discharge and acid leaks resulting in Superior Life performance but at much higher cost.

“It is a FLOODED type battery installed in the automobile with ISG system (inhibition of the generation of CO2 gas at the time of idling of the engine by stopping the engine while standing by for the traffic light or stoppage in congested traffic while driving automobiles) with reinforced charge acceptance and cycle lifespan in comparison to the existing FLOODED type battery. It really comes down to two key physical differences when comparing to standard 12V flooded batteries
Narrow grids: holding capacity of active material is raised to prevent active material from becoming softened and dropping, thus increasing charge acceptance and Increased number of plates in the battery: increases the reaction area to improve charging performance. “
EFB have Improved charge acceptance vs. standard 12V flooded, Greater cyclic durability in a reduced state of charge and Lower production cost than AGM Technology. It has durability that has been improved by 1.5 Folds from those of standard 12 V Flooded SLI Batteries
